Marble In Pakistan 


Marble is found mainly in Khyber pakhtunkhwa. It is a decorative stone used for buildings. It occurs in different colours: white, grey, yellow and brown. Onyx marble is found in green, yellow, red and white shades. Craftsmen use onyx to make beautiful carved products and ornaments.

Marble is also exported for use in construction, especially for mosques.
Clays such as china clay, fuller’s earth and betonies are used to make jars, pots and vases.

Fuller’s earth is used in oil drilling, foundries and steel mills. Sulphur is found in Koh-i-Sultan and Sanni in Balochistan. It is used as a raw material for sulphuric acid. Sulphur is also used to make explosive, paints, dyes, rayon and fertilizers.
