Mass Wedding – Where Are Politicians?

I read in a newspaper that a mass wedding was held in Karachi where 50 couples married. The event was organised at the YMCA Ground by the Upleta Memon Association and Welfare Trust. Karachi Commissioner Roshan Ali Shaikh attended the mass wedding ceremony on behalf of President Asif Ali Zardari and announced that the president would bear all the expenses of the ceremony.

Also in the newspaper I read that in Indian city a mass wedding was oraginsed by a local politician and in this wedding ceremony 1000 couples get married. The local politician who organise the event is a MLA and he also get married in this mass wedding.

The point is that in Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari didn’t attended the ceremony but in India an MLA who organised the event also tied knot with his bride. This shows that in Pakistan high profile personalities and politicians didn’t go to these event and nor they bear the expenses (Asif Ali Zardari would surely pay the expenses from taxes of people of Pakistan) but in India a local politician even wed in the same wedding and also bear all the expenses from his personal trust.
