Master bathroom Perks For Buyers

The presence of large bathrooms – often called ‘master bathroom’ – is always an added advantage as far as attracting buyers is concerned, and their presence increases a property’s value by up to four to 10 percent. If you are thinking about selling your home or considering renovating or converting an existing bathroom into a master
bathroom, factor in the following.

●Essentials. Master bathrooms should measure at least 144 square feet. This will ensure that they are spacious, despite the presence of essentials such as a bathtub and/or shower cubicle, an alcove for the sink(s), a WC, as well as a bidet or a Jacuzzi. The use of glass sliding doors, skylights or large windows will ensure that it is well-lit and ventilated.

● Wall treatments and flooring. Although expensive flooring options such as caremic t tiles and pebbles are appealing. Stick to simple unglazed tiles as they are the easiest to maintain and available in a wide range of colours and textures. Use floor tiles that measure 12×12 inches or less to increase grout joints, as this will prevent
people from slipping. As far as wall treatments are concerned, opt for tiles in rich earthen tones; bright shades of water-resistant paint will work equally well.

●Storage. For most people, the more storage space a bathroom provides the better. Therefore, make sure that storage units under the sink or storage niches are in place. These are ideal for linens, towels and cleaning supplies. Cabinets on each side of the mirror can be used for toiletries.

●Eco-friendly features. Energy-efficient bathrooms that use recycled rainwater, have low-flow toilet flush and shower heads, auto-sensor taps and LED lights are in greater demand compared to regular ones.

●Lighting. Well-lit bathrooms with trendy fixtures always attract buyers. Wall sconces work best around mirrors, near the shower area and entrance, while hanging perforated lamps in the centre will create a dazzling effects.
