Member Of Parliaments Should Be Banned For Life For Not Declaring Assets

Election Commission of Pakistan has suspended the membership of 231 lawmakers for not submitting details of their assets.

The membership of 13 Senators, 103 Members of National Assembly, 58 members of Punjab Assembly, 23 Members of Provincial Assembly of Sindh, 28 MPAs of Khyber Pakhtunhwa Assembly, and 6 MPAs from Balochistan has been suspended. Out of total 1170 legislators, 936 have so far submitted their statements of accounts,

Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Defence Minister Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, Finance Minister Hafeez Sheikh, Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr. Asim Hussain, Minister for Trade Amin Faheem, Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Manzoor Wattoo are among those whose membership are suspended.

Ghulam Bibi Bharwana, Sheikh Waqas, Khurram Dastagir, Rana Nazir Ahmad, Khawaja Asif, Khurram Jahangir Wattoo, Syed Abdul Qadir Gilani, Syed Ahmad Mujtaba Gilani, Ghulam Farid Kathia, Awais Laghari, Hamid Saeed Kazmi, Jamshed Dasti, Nabeel Gabol, Fozia Wahab, Pervaiz Rashid, Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, Arbab Ghulam Rahim, Mufti Kifayatullah, Muhammad Ali Durrani, Rehmatullah Kakar, Attaur Rehman, Anjum Aqeel Khan and Khush Bakht Shujaat have also not submitted their assets.

A law should be made in which any Member of Parliament who does not declare his assetsor has dual nationality should be banned to contest election for life.

But the question is who will make this law as these current MPs are not at all serious.
