Mohammadan Educational Conference

Although Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was working for the reawakening of Indian Muslims in the city center but the Muslim living far from were out of this circle. To bring the people within the range of his reform programme, he established Muhammadan Educational Conference in 1886.

The task assigned to this Conference was to motivate also the people living far from for learning and the modern scientific knowledge. The first annual meeting of this Conference was held at Aligarh. Mohammadan Educational Conference, in fact, provided a platform to Indian Muslims for conveying end communicating their thoughts to others.

The significance of this Conference could be evaluated by the fact that the political party of Muslims under which Pakistan came into being was founded in annual meeting of Mohammadan Educational Conference in1906.
