Dubai, Karachi: U.A.E local newspaper, Khaleej Times has presented doubt over 100 Pakistani law makers to hold fake degrees. The fake degree holders include 50 members of Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N), 24 members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), PPP 12 members, Jamiat Ulema e Islam Federation (JUI-F) 4 while 2 independent candidates. The educational record of the respective parliamentarians is challenged in the court.
According to the newspaper report details, there are over 100 lawmakers from various political parties alleged with the charged of holding fake degrees. Higher Education Commission (HEC) has received more than 100 fake degree of the parliamentarians holding positions in National and Provincial Assemblies. These degrees are to be scrutinized by the body.
Facts and figures released by the government state the challenging of fake degrees of the PML-N and PTI members in the court ,while, around 12 members from PPP are said to have been part of the allegation. In case the allegation is found to be true, the respective members would lose their representation in the parliament.
