New York: American Muttahida Qaumi Movement organized prayer gathering for late National Assembly’s member Tahira Asif under the supervision of MQM American Central Organizer Junaid Fehmi. The mourned day was also observed in the grief of Shaheed National Assembly’s member Tahira Asif under the arrangements of New York Chapters.
Central organizer Junaid Fehmi, joint organizer Muhammad Arshad Hussain, central member organizing committee Qazi and Gul Mohammad, joint committee member Muhammad Khursheed-ul-Haq were present at the event. Moreover, Chapters’ in charge Syed Kamal Anjum, member and representative of Muttahida Working Committee Abdul Rehman Awan, Karachi Club’s Aslam Baig, Karachi Aman Committee’s Abid Rafay, Pakistan famous literature personality Nilofar Abbasi and including other intellectuals and journalists were also become the part of this gathering.
MQM America Central Organizer Junaid Fehmi said at the occasion that Shaheed Tahira Asif has been killed for raising her voice against terrorism at which every patriotic Pakistan is feeling great sorrow and grief. [alert style=”white”]It is pertinent to mention that Tahira Asif killed by unknown gunmen in the Iqbal Town neighbourhood on 20th June, 2014 while struggling against robbery attempt. [/alert]MQM’s chief Altaf Hussain appealed from the government to arrest the killers of National Assembly’s member Tahira Asif as soon as possible.
