MQM Amir Khan To Perform Hajj, Court Allows

MQM's Amir KhanKarachi: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s accused activist Amir Khan to perform Hajj. According to the details, ATC decided to permit Amir Khan for Hajj pilgrimage after hearing an application of him on Monday and instructed to Federal Interior Ministry and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to remove his name from the list of Exit Control List (ECL).

On the other hand, MQM Amir Khan has also directed by ATC to submit security bonds of Rs.2 million in the name of security to return after performing Hajj pilgrimage while saying that submitted amount will be seized in case of not returning after one month. However, Amir Khan will visit to Saudi Arabia on 18th September and will return on 3rd October.

It is pertinent to mention that accused Amir Khan had also submitted affidavits and other documents with the aim to guarantee court that he has no other motives behind his Hajj’s plea.

MQM activist Amir Khan got arrested during rangers’ raid at MQM headquarter Nine Zero on 11th March on the charges of prompting terrorism and sheltering criminals. However, he was released on bail in the last days of June on a surety bond worth Rs 1 million which considers as the highest security amount bond of this year.
