MQM Will Challenge Lahore High Court Order

MQM lawyer Farogh NaseemKarachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is all set to challenge the order of Lahore High Court (LHC) as LHC has directed to Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) to stop broadcasting speeches and images of MQM’s chief Altaf Hussain. According to the sources, Farogh Naseem, a party lawyer has announced to challenge LHC’s decision in the Supreme Court while saying that MQM will also submit review petition in the LHC.

However, MQM leaders also said while addressing to a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Monday that party has decided to knock Supreme Court with the help of provided legal ways.

On the other hand, MQM also claimed that there are three petitions filed against MQM in Lahore in which no proper addresses of the defendants were mention as well as no notification had been given to MQM or Altaf Hussain in this regard.

Meanwhile MQM’s senior leader Dr Farooq Sattar also said that MQM wants a fair trial under 10 (A) of the Constitution. [Alert style=”white”] It is worth mentioning here that petitions have been filed against speech of Altaf Hussain, ban on MQM and ineligibility of Rabita Committee members including Farooq Sattar.
