MQM’s Senior Leader Muhammad Anwar Arrested

London: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) senior leader Muhammad Anwar arrested in London in Money Laundering case on Wednesday at 9AM according to local time. According to the details, Scotland Yards’ Counter Terrorism Command caught Mr Anwar in London and took him to Central London Police Station in order to investigate the matter.

However according to a press statement issued by the MQM in this regard, Metropolitan Police is doing investigation these days against allegations of money laundering and detained of Mr. Anwar is only a part of their investigation. MQM is all set to collaborate with police in this matter and is hoping for a positive result regarding this case, statement added.

According to the statement of London Metropolitan police, old man arrested on doubt basis from his residency.  On the other hand, MQM has sent their legal team from Karachi to London in order to help the lawyers to solve the money laundering case against Mr. Anwar.
