Sources claimed that security agencies arrested Mufti Kifayatullah on the charges of spreading hatred while acting upon National Action Plan (NAC) on Wednesday from Chiniot. It is pertinent to mention that Mufti Kifayatullah is also accused for having relations with Taliban as well as supervision of one militant group. On the other hand, after the arrest of Mufti Kifayatullah, JUI-F’s leader are also pressurizing party chief Fazl Ur Rehman to disqualified Mufti Kifayatullah from party’s membership.
However, member of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Punjab Assembly Maulana Ilyas Chinioti including all leaders and workers of parties of Deoband School were presented at the event.
Mufti Kifayatullah belong to Manshera district of Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa (KPK) as he has also served as former opposition leader in KPK Assembly. It is worth to be mentioned here that Taliban have also nominated Mufti Kifayatullah as a member of Negotiation committee but Maulana Fazl Ur Rehman stopped him to become member of the committee of Taliban.
