Muhajir Ittehad Tehreek chairman stated that Jung Newspaper has carried out their responsibilities on sensitive and national issues. He added that Late Mir Khalil-Ur-Rehman’s Jung Newspaper has fought for the protection of the national Urdu language in 1973 at the event of linguistic conflicts in Sindh as their this fight is a big part of history. Muhajir Ittehad Tehreek’s leader further added that now campaign against Geo and Jung Group should be over.
Dr. Saleem Haider suggested that monitoring of the newspaper industry and electronic media policy is necessary for the benefit of national interest. Strict rules and regulation should be imposed on cable operators to act upon so that cable operators could not black mail to channels in inappropriate ways.
