NA246 candidate Mahfooz Yar Khan Withdraws In Favour of MQM

Mahfooz Yar KhanKarachi: Former Political Secretary and Advisor to Chief Minister of Sindh and member of Awami Muslim League (AML) Mahfooz Yar Khan who nominated as candidate for NA-246 in by-elections has withdrawn his candidacy from by-elections in favour of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).According To the reports, Mahfooz Yar Khan has also joined MQM while announcing his candidacy for MQM’s nominated candidate Kunwar Naveed Jamil for NA-246.

The 65-years old politician announced his decision during public musical festival of MQM in Jinnah Ground on Sunday while saying that today he has become a true Haq Parast which he has been trying for last 25 years. He also said that MQM is the only true party of the country as he has tried almost every party of the country but there is no one like MQM.

On the other hand, Mahfooz Yar Khan also criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami while claiming that Mohajirs do not support the party of Taliban. However MQM’s Chief Altaf Hussain congratulated Mahfooz Yar Khan on his joining to MQM and said that withdrawn of AML’s candidate is the victory of Haq Parast. He also appreciated the long political struggle of Mahfooz Yar Khan and welcomed in his party.
