Natural Pastures

Forests are the natural pastures for various animals including goats, sheep, camels, etc. Forests decrease soil erosion on the, mountains and land. They stop quick melting the snow on the mountains and thus stop erosion. Trees fix to the soil on the land and prevent soil erosion.

During photosynthesis, plant takes in carbon dioxide and gives out oxygen. Forests thus purify the atmosphere. They keep the level of carbon dioxide and oxygen constant in the atmosphere. Forests provide us with fruits, honey and food to man and animals. Forests prevent from floods. They slow down the flow of rivers.

Forests also bring rains. The concentration of water vapour increases in the forest areas and thus they cause rains. Forests keep the soil fertile by fixing the top layer of the soil and do not allow by air water.
