Nayyer Hussain Becomes KESC CEO

Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has appointed new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Nayyer Hussain who was serviing as executive director and chief distribution officer since 2010 in KESC has been appointed CEO of the power supply company. Before joining KESC Nayyer Huusain was with Mashreq Bank where he managed the Retail Risk Management function.

KESC former CEO Tabish Gauhar has taken over as the chairman of KESC’s Board of Directors (BOD).

After 17 years KESC posted a profit of PKR 2.6 billion in the last fiscal year 2011-12. KESC performance in the last few years have been appreciated by many independent forums in the past and recently State Bank of Pakistan duly acknowledged KESC’s performance in its Annual Report 2011-12. From the last two to three years load shedding in Karachi is also done on scheduled time and in many areas load shedding has ended.
