Pakistan Army Image Spoiled Due To Pervez Musharraf: Ansar Abbasi

Pervez MusharrafAnsar Abbasi, an investigative editor for one of the leading newspapers from Pakistan said that Musharraf does not represent army; he is a person who hurt Pakistan, Pakistan Army and he even sell out Pakistan sovereignty. He is a president of All Pakistan Muslim League, he does not represent army. Ansar Abbasi further added that the Musharraf is the one who led Pakistan army in that situation where army officers did not come out in uniform.

Abbasi is making a charged request to General Raheel Sharif to maintain a distance, and remain silent regarding the clear irregularities in the process and unfair/unjust conduct towards Musharraf in the so called “treason” trial.

Pakistani Army chief Gen Raheel Sharif is said to have advised the government to allow former military ruler Pervez Musharraf, indicted for treason, to go abroad for treatment and to look after his ailing mother. The army chief in Pakistan, a country with a long history of military coups, has hinted that he’s unhappy with the detention of former President and ex-General Pervez Musharraf.

Minister Pervez Rashid told that Musharraf, who during his rule had hurt the institution of army besides badly hurting Pakistan, is now again trying to embarrass the state institution. “Our army is a state institution and the national Army. It is not the property or personal fiefdom of any individual,” he said.

Lt Gen (R) Hamid Gul said that the military men are instead upset with Musharraf because of his misadventures include Kargil. He advised Musharraf not to drag the institution of Army in his personal affairs.
