Pakistan Railway Needs Restructuring Not Privatization: Saad Rafique

Saad RafiqueLahore: Federal Minister of Pakistan Railway Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that railways require restructuring. He also clarified that Privatization is not an Option. Only those people will remain in Railway who will work, he argued. Saad said that we will not accept corruption and only merit work will be accepted. The Recruitments in railway will be according to qualifications and no political influence will be accepted, Saad said.

Saad Rafique announced that he will not take Incentives from Pakistan Railway. He said that I became Railway Minister after burning all boats; railway officers should also follow this.

Senior PML-N leader from Lahore, Saad called corruption as biggest issue of railways. All types of corruption are in railway from oil theft to scrape stealing, Saad revealed. Ticket stealing is on top while making commission in purchase of good is also part of railway.

It’s looking that Saad is interested to Saad is looking to get India’s assistance in reformation of Pakistan Railway. On other hand, railway is badly in Debt position. The Minister hasn’t told clear path but nation is asking him for step by step process details.
