Pakistan Support For The Cause Of Third World

Pakistan has always tried to be on the fore-front in cooperation and collaboration with the Third World. Whenever any just and genuine cause of any African or Asian country came before the UN, Pakistan always worked for upholding the truth and justice.

This style of Pakistan’s relations with international comity particularly impressed Asian nations and when in October, 1982, Pakistan stood for election to the Security Council, no county opposed rather Sri Lanka withdrew in Pakistan’s favour. Pakistan was declared elected unopposed.

This honour for Pakistan was, in a way, reflective of confidence of their trust in Pakistan that it can effectively represent Asian nations in the body of United Nations.
