Pakistan – Trade, Commerce & Imports

‘Trade & Commerce’; Like all other developing and primary goods producing countries. Pakistan experiences balance of trade problems. In order to accelerate the pace of industrialization, the country needs imports such as machinery, raw material, furnace oil and other petroleum products in order to keep the wheel of industrial activities rolling and to produce sizable goods for export.

Pakistan’s 10 major trading partners are USA, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Germany, UK, Italy, Dubai, France, Honk Kong & South Korea.

‘Imports’; Imports in Pakistan are governed by Import Policy announced every year by Government. The principles of Pakistan Imports Policy areas under:

1. To promote industrialization & make full utilization of existing industrial capacity.

2. To modernize agriculture.

3. To provide greater employment opportunities.
