Karachi: The Cricket World Cup 2015 is a big event for all teams and its players for which they are taking every precaution to make the best of everything. Similarly Pakistani cricketers have changed their Jersey numbers in order to improve performance after referring to their spiritual advisors in an attempt to get close to good luck.
According to the details, right handed batsman Umar Akmal has chosen new number 3 by replacing previous 96 on his shirt number on the direction of his Pir as he want to see some changes in his poor performance whereas Haris Sohail, the newcomer in the Pakistani squad will wore number 89 which he wore in the last series against New Zealand. On the other hand, Pakistan Bowlers have picked double digit numbers whereas fast bowler Wahab Riaz will carried 47 number, Ahsan Adil 91 and Yasir Shah 86.
However, all-rounder Shahid Afridi will stick with his previous number 10 which he has been using his international career as well as Captain Misbahul Haq and veteran batsman Younis Khan will also use their previous numbers 23 and 75 respectively. With respect to the reports, Muhammad Hafeez has requested to PCB to allot him number 8 which was used by past Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq, however PCB has accepted his request and allotted him number 8.
