Pakistan’s Government Winter Gift: No CNG in Punjab

Islamabad: CNG and commercial sectors are likely to face acute supply of gas during the winter seasons, December, January and February in Punjab. The gas supply to homes would however remain uninterrupted. After Success of Summer Gift like Power Shortage, Government is ready to give something unique.

These words have been marked by Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Minister for Natural Resources and Petroleum.  He said that continuous supply of gas remains the ultimate solution to the problem.  He asserted that government is trying to gap the difference between the need and supply resources. It is expected that by 2015, the gas issue would get solved through the installation of the gas pipelines, the Iranian project.  By next year, there would be increase in the gas supply, he added saying.

Shahid spoke these words while talking to media.  The minister further said that only the houses would be facilitated with the gas supply. The CNG and commercial sector would remain suspended from the provision in Punjab from December to February 2014.

He said that such a step is taken to meet the acute shortage across the country.

Like PPP government, Nawaz led governance has added miseries to lives of people. In past five months, no relief has been given to the masses. Instead news of gas closure has created anxiety among people in the industrial sector, especially to those who depend on daily wages for their needs.
