Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and MNA Dr. Arif Alvi has said that people should have right to choose co education system or not. Arif Ali during a talk show on private news channel said: “If they (Taliban) do not want co-education in the area, let’s just stop it.” Arif Alvi was discussing the demands of Taliban which they have made in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where PTI is heading the provincial government.
After the program was aired some people started criticizing Arif Alvi that he is fulfilling Taliban’s demand. Dr. Arif Alvi tweeted from his official twitter account that government should allow separate schools for boys and girls when people do not want co-education system.
A female student of Punjab University while responding on this situation said that it is sad to see that lot of people started criticizing PTI leader Arif Alvi when he rightly said that there is should be no co-education system. Female student added that in Islam male and female students should get education separately and it should be followed in Pakistan also which is an Islamic country.
