Pervez Musharraf to Contest Election from NA-48 Islamabad

pervez musharrafDubai: Former Pakistani President General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf has announced that he will contest upcoming General Election from Islamabad. President of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) will also announce about his Pakistan Returning plan on March 1, 2013. Pervez Musharraf said that he will be candidate for National Assembly seat from NA-48, Islamabad-I, TV Channel reported.

National Assembly seat of NA-48 has strong following of PML – Nawaz, PPP, PML-Q and Jamaat e Islami. MNA Anjum Aqeel Khan won from this seat on PML-N ticket. Now it’s looking that Musharraf will have to face his rivals for this seat.

It’s also important to mention here that last year APML Secretary General Barrister Saif announced that Musharraf will contest election from Chitral city. Other than this, Musharraf return is more important for future of APML. Otherwise his party members may shift their loyalties before lection 2013.
