Petition Filed in SC to Enter Pervez Musharraf Name in ECL

Islamabad: A petition has been filed in Supreme Court of Pakistan to enter former president Pervez Musharraf name in Exit Control List (ECL). Advocate of former Lal Masjid Speaker Maulana Abdul Aziz, Tariq Asad submitted application. The applicant claimed in application that Pervez Musharraf played major role in Lal Masjid Operation. The applicant asked Supreme Court to start hearing against APML President and also include his name in ECL so he can’t leave country.

Advocate also noted in application that Musharraf is accused in many other cases. Applicant also reminded Supreme Court that four times Lal Masjid Commission has asked Musharraf to face case but he didn’t.

It’s also pertinent to mention here that people faced Lal Masjid Commission also accused Musharraf for Operation. The Religious parties also blamed former president for that operation which killed dozens of students and Teachers. On other hand, Pervez Musharraf told in an interview that only couple of terrorists killed in Army Operation at Lal Masjid. If Musharraf name will be included in ECL then he will not able to go outside from Pakistan but it’s looking that this case will also face stay order, critics told AwamiPolitics.
