The fact remains that there is a level of hypocrisy at play here. There are other cheap airlines out there. The fact remains that Pakistani people get a high out of criticizing Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and going the extra mile with it.
I am in no way defending the state of affairs of the airline, but I would absolutely not agree with people who hold the airline to a high standard while pretending their morals are all in check.
If I feared for my life with PIA, i would not risk flying it no matter how cheap the ticket could be. That is the point here. it’s not your economic condition that is at play when you want to put up a few bucks against your safety.
This is a classic example much like when Firestone was criticized nationwide for subpar tires and people were going senile over the quality of their tires, but when Firestone cut prices, the same people also gave the company its highest revenue earning year.
People need to pick and choose and stand their ground. If PIA is unsafe for them and they want their outcry to be heard on social media, then stick with the decision of not flying with PIA at all.
