PM Calls Parliamentary Meeting On Senate polls

Nawaz SharifIslamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has called a meeting of the parliamentary leaders on senate polls on Friday in order to work on strategies to bring transparency in the Senate elections. According to the details, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar while talking to the media told that PM will discuss about the drafted 22nd constitutional amendment in order to procedure of Senate elections.

Finance Minister who were presented at the residency of PTI leader Jahangir Tareen also told that PML-N and PTI is going to work together on same pattern regarding transparent procedure for senate elections. He also told that the chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has also invited in the parliamentary meeting which will held under presidency of Nawaz Sharif. We have received several reports regarding alleged horse trading in the senate elections, so it is necessary to eliminate it as soon as possible, Ishaq Dar added.

While talking about rigging in 2013’s elections, Finance Minister further also said that we are also trying to investigate rigging claims by PTI in general elections 2013 by establishing judicial commission. On the other hand, PTI’s leader Jahangir Tareen also spoke to the media during the event and said that PTI is all set to make efforts with government in order to bring transparency in the Senate elections by ending all the negative elements in this regard.
