Islamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif endorsed Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator Raza Rabbani appointment as Senate chairman as decision has taken after consultations with all political parties in this regard. According to the details, a meeting was held at the PM house on Tuesday in which he showed his support to PPP candidate while saying that chairman or deputy chairman from PML-N will not suggest by the government itself.
During the meeting, PM Nawaz Sharif told that a message has also been sent to co chairman of PPP Asif Ali Zardari regarding this but no response has emerged yet by him on the matter of the chairman and deputy chairman. He also told that process of broad based session has been started by government which is aiming to bring harmony on domestic disputes as well as it will also open new political aspects. However the meeting was attended by political leaders from Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Awami National Party (ANP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI), Pakistan National party (PNP) and Pashtunkhwai Milli Awami Party (PKMP).
However PML-N supported Mian Raza Rabbani as Senate chairman according to the views of all parties
