Islamabad: Most if Political parties are trying to make set adjustment with other parties. In this regard, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is also looking for alliance or seat adjustment. PML-N was looking to get Jamaat e Islami (JI) Support in Punjab to counter its rivals. According to political experts PML-N will face hard time against Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI). To minimize the pressure, PML-N was looking to get JI support in Southern Punjab and especially Lahore.
JI asked PML-N for 3 National Assembly Seats and 6 Provincial Assembly seats in Lahore but PML-N leadership didn’t accept. Delegations of both parties failed to finalize seat adjustment. Earlier, both parties couldn’t agree for seat adjustment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
On other hand, JI has successfully convinced Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Pakistan (TTP) leader Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan for seat adjustment in KPK and Punjab. JI has also talked with Sardar Akhtar Mengal to get seat to seat adjustment in Balochistan province.
