Pir Ghulam Fareed is a member of 16th Assembly whose tenure started from the year 2013 and continues till date. He belongs to constituency PP-95 (Gujranwala-V) and is part of an old mainstream party of Pakistan having rightist inclination and led by business man turned politician, present Prime Minister of Pakistan and also known for owning Ittefaq Group of Industries Mian Muhammad Nawaz Shareef. He is an active politician and currently holds the position of member of Revenue, Relief and Consolidation. He has masterminded many new ideas for relief efforts and consolidation. He has also shown new directions and devised new plans in revenue generation.
Pir Ghulam Fareed was born in Gujranwala. He is married and has nurtured six children who are all obedient citizens. His father’s name is Sahibzada Malik Didar Ali who is also a respectable personality in his society. He is an agriculturist by profession and has old association with this agriculture. He is a well-known follow and his credibility has earned him a reward of possessing official positions previously. He had been a member of District Council for multiple times like from 1979-1983 and from 1983-1985 He was also a member of Provincial Assembly of Punjab from the year 1985-1988. Her daughter is also a renowned politician and has been an official at national and provincial levels. Her daughter Shazia Ashfaq Mattu was a member of Provincial Assembly of Punjab from the year 2008-2013 and member of National Assembly of Pakistan from 2013 till date. Pir Ghulam Fareed has also visited India as private tour. He went to India in 2010, 2012 and 2013. He is a Muslim by religion and is of high moral character.
