PML-Q Sumaira Malik Tax Payment Scandal

Former MNA of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid Sumaira Malik is among those prominent political leaders who didn’t pay all taxes in last three years. She belongs from Khushab district from where she won last General Election. According to ECP given details, Sumaira Malik declared income of 2010, 2011 and 2012 is 5,157,480, 6,007,110 and 8,096,549. Like many other politicians, Sumaira Malik also paid tax in last two years only. Former Head of Ministry of Women Development and Ministry of Youth Affairs yearly income increased in last three years also. She is among those female politicians whom yearly announced income is more than 5 million rupees. PTI Ayla Malik is also among these selective female politicians who crossed 5 million yearly incomes in last few years. On other hand Ayla Malik Tax scandal and Marvi Memon tax details were also spread last week.

Interesting Facts:

Sumaira Malik will face immense pressure in this election 2013. Her former rival Umer Aslam Khan is contesting this election on Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) ticket. Umer Aslam contested last election independently. Sumaira Malik narrowly beat Umer in last election as she got 61076 votes while Umer could get 60443. After Getting PTI support, political experts are saying that Umer can win from this seat.

There two more interesting facts about these two leaders. According to FBR report, Umer Aslam yearly Income is less than monthly income of Sumaira Malik. On other hand, Umer Aslam couldn’t pay tax of year 2012.

It’s also worth mentioning here political family background of Sumaira Malik. Farooq Leghari (late) was her uncle while she is granddaughter of Amir Mohammad Khan a.k.a. Nawab of Kalabagh.
