At the meeting, the four political bodies decided to contest local body elections against PML-N the present ruling party and to challenge the local body act in Supreme Court.

In a press conference held after the meeting, Manzoor Watto told that the parties look forward to win over the upcoming elections against PML-N by co-operating in the best possible manner and through the seat adjustments.

The Punjab opposition parties joined together at one platform against PML-N after the ruling party passed the local body bill in Punjab Assembly. The parties term the bill an attempt to enforce ‘one-man show’ in the province instead of dissolving powers.
PTI and PML-Q had avoided joining hands with PPP but after the May elections, the parties decided to get united to what they see as an anti-democratic step.
