Abbas Ali Khan who joined PPP before 3 years ago was elected for PP-165 Sheikhupura in the general elections of 2013. Before joining PPP, Mr Khan was associated with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. However, PPP Sharakpur tehsil president Rana Riasat Ali, ex nazims of the tehsil named as Saeed Shah, Sabir Husain Bhatti, Munir Dogar, Yaqoob Butt and Hafiz Usman, prior councilors such as Atif Kamboh, Wasif Shah, Waqar Shah and Abdul Wali Khan, chairman of Anjuman Tajraan Ahmed Maqbool and others have joined PTI while showing confidence in the leadership of PTI chief Imran Khan.
However, PTI Punjab organizer Mr Sarwar said while speaking to the occasion that PTI has left as only hope for the betterment of the country as PPP’s corruption is ruining the country day by day. A large number of political workers and leaders of PPP are quitting from PPP and shaking hand with PTI, Chaudhry Sarwar added.
