Mingora: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) suffer a set back in the region of Swat as differences between the two party’s provincial leaders Asad Qaiser and Pervaiz Khattak have divided them into two groups,Dr.Amjad and Dr.Inayat groups respectively,sources have learnt.
To gain provincial slots and the support of the workers , the two groups are leveling allegations over each other.Each group claims to be loyal to the party chairman Imran Khan.However sources say that the two leaders are working towards safe guarding their personal positions.
It is pertinent here to mention that the PTI Chairman visit to Swat that was expected on 25 September has also been postponed owing to the dispute.The tussle had risen but no attempts had been made to resolve the issue peacefully.
Mr.Amjad supporter of Mr.Qiaser said that he backed him because he is an ideological leader.The opponents are deliberately attempting to press Asad Qaiset to get tickets in the next elections.
On the other hand,Arif Khan backed Pervaiz Khattak saying that Mr.Amjad continued to act irresponsibly which has given rise to many of the problems.Party founding leaders Fazal Ahad,Shoaib Khan,Mr.Asad were issued party show cause notices which were unconstitutional.
Sharafat Ali,PTI member said that Inayat group had never remained loyal to the party and the party had faced defeat through his representation.
Through negotiations differences should be culminated said another party activist,Mohammad Naeem.
Dr.Javed senior part member believed that tussle arouse because the two groups want to safe guard their personal positions and none of them is loyal to the party.
Fazal Ahad told newsmen that he joined the party in December 2008 but the internal divisions,policies of Mr.Amjad had highly been discouraging.
