Karachi: PTI Central Deputy Secretary General Imran Ismail while condemning the news of the petroleum price hike stated that increase in petroleum prices for two times in a month on the Holy occasion of Eid ul Fitr by the government has proved that the government is deliberately working for making the masses lives miserable .
He said the unemployed and poverty driven people are further suppressed with such burdens.
In a statement released by the central media, the PTI spokesman said that price hikes adds to the problems of poor masses. He said that the country is inflicted with number of unresolved issues. Sectarian divide and terrorist activities have weakened the roots of the country he said. In such a situation the nation cannot afford more burdens.
Expressing grief over the government’s poor performance he said that the price hikes declared by thePakistan’s largest Oil and Gas Company (OGRA), in spite the fact that no increase has been shown in the oil and gas rates internationally is sheer injustice.
The politicians are playing role in making poor poorer while making the corrupt mafia richer in the society.
He stressed that need of the hour is to take positive step against price hikes otherwise masses would be left with no choice but to face famine.
