Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Mardan has requested applications from desiring candidates for municipal elections as applications shall be submitted from March 26 to March 30. According to a statement of PTI Mardan, aspiring candidates who wants to contest the election for Village council, Tehsil council and district council can collect the form by submitting application along with district general secretary Iftikhar Ali Mashwani during the mention period.
A press release said that according to the instructions, aspiring candidates for District Council election are requested to submit Rs, 3000 and City Council candidates are required to submit Rs,2000 to a relevant bank by attaching that bank receipt with a form. However municipal election will be held on 30th May and result will be announce on 10th June,2015. PTI Mardan is running by office bearers such as district vice presidents Tufail Anjum and Zahid Durrani and district general secretary Iftikhar Ali Mashwani.
It is pertinent to mention that PTI Mardan has successfully won seats during the general elections of 2013. Iftikhar Ali Mashwani selected as MPA from PK-26 Mardan-IV, Muhammad Atif, the Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education won seat from PK-30 Mardan-VIII, Ali Muhammad was voted as MNA from NA-10 Mardan-II, Muhammad Zahid Durrani elected MPA from PK-24 Mardan-II, and Tufail Anjum won from PK-29 Mardan-VII.
