PTI Nazia Khurshid, Syed Firdaus Shameem Files Paper

Karachi: 8 members of PTI Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has filed paper for the nomination of by-election on a National Assembly seat NA-246 in Azizabad which is vacant after the resignation of the Nabeel Gabol. The PTI’s members Imran Ismail, Nazia Khurshid, Syed Firdaus Shameem, Raja Azhar Kahan, Syed Ahmad Sohail, Syed Usman Ali, Syed Azharul Hasan and Mohammed Asif Memon are the 8 candidates for the seat.

However the polling process will be held on 23^rd April whereas claims regarding nomination papers will be filed on 24^th March. Other than candidates are not allowed to withdraw themselves from the contest after 31^st March. The 4 members of MQM, 4 of PPP, 4 of JI, 2 of PML-N and 2 of Pasban are also participating in the contest for the seat NA-246 whereas four independent candidates have also filed their nomination papers in this regard.

Regional election commissioner Syed Nadeem Haider will work as the returning officer whereas Gulberg assistant commissioner Sumera Hussain and district central town officer (education) Tariq Ali will be serving as assistant returning officers.
