Public Holiday In Islamabad Today over D-8 summit

Public Holiday has been declared by Federal Government in Islamabad on Thursday (today) on the eve of D-8 Summit beginning today. Interior Minister Rehman Malik while talking to reporters said that there will be public holiday in federal capital on Thursday as D-8 Summit is starting. Malik said that motorcycles entry in Red Zone have been banned.

Rehman Malik said that full-proof security have been made in Islamabad as leaders of Turkey, Egypt, Iran and other countries will attend the D-8 Summit.

On 9th and 10th Muharram public holiday will be in in Pakistan. 9th and 10th Muharram are falling on Saturday and Sunday. There are also news that public holiday will also be announced on Friday (23rd November) but these news are still not confirmed.
