Punjab University Canteens’ Scandal Exposed

Lahore: Punjab University’s canteens have been exposed by the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) who raided at the canteens of Punjab University and found unhygienic conditions which are poisonous to human health. The team of PFA, Samnabad region has discovered dirty and broken freezers full of smells, rotten foods, waste food, no personal hygiene, vegetable cut by foot, water and juices full of insects in the canteens of Punjab University.

The team has sealed almost 6 canteens of the University as well as also imposed fine of Rs. 10,000 on each of the owner of the canteen. The name of the canteens are as follows:

• Uncle Samosa Shop located in Main Shopping Plaza
• Bashir Juice Corner in Main Cafeteria of Admin Block
• Ahmad Fast Food at hostel No 4 stop
• Saleem Tikka Shop at Hostel No 4 Stop
• Snack Bar Canteen in Main Shopping Center
• Sanko Fast Food at Hostel No 4

Similarly, canteen of National College of Arts (NCA) have also been sealed by PFA team Data Gunj Baksh Town region due to poor hygienic. It has revealed by the personal Facebook page of PFA Director Ayesha Mumtaz who shared post by uploading pictures of unhygienic foods of canteen.
