Radio Stations In Pakistan

Radio plays a very important role in our daily life it is one of the marvelous invention of the modern age. We listen to the news on radio. Karachi, Hyderabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Turat, Dera Ismail Khan, Khairpur and Quetta have radio stations in our country.

Various programmes are broadcast from these stations. Two kinds of programmes are broadcast from our radio stations. They are called national programmes and local or regional programmes. The national programmes are relayed by all the station of radio Pakistan simultaneously. Local or regional programmes are broadcast separately by each station.

Three radio stations are in Sindh. The first radio station was established in Karachi in the year 1948 and the second one was established at Hyderabad in the year 1955 and the third one had been started at Khairpur in 1981.
