This small scale industry has made great progress in Pakistan by which our local needs are successfully met further a large quantity of these garments are being exported to earn foreign exchange.
This industry serves as a subsidiary industry of cotton textile industry. In 1997-98 its export reached 7000 million rupees and gradually it is developing rapidly.
About 15000 workers are engaged in this industry and really 500 million pairs of readymade suits are being exported and 300 million pairs are used locally. By its export 85850 million rupees foreign exchange was earned.
