Role Of Sindh In Pakistan Movement

Sindh which has the unique honour of being Bab-ul-Islam for the subcontinent has always made a significant contribution to the cause of Islam and has played an important role in every struggle for independence. The historians have traced back the origin of the concept of Pakistan to the entry of the Arabs in the subcontinent and have recorded that the foundations of Pakistan were actually laid down by the day the first Muslim set foot on the soil of Indus valley.

The British occupied Sindh by aggression in 1843. They were fully aware of the fact that the people would not reconcile to a foreign rule. That a brave nation would sit idle and surrender its freedom was unimaginable! The people of Sindh in general and Hurs in particular were continuously planning the ways and means for regaining their lost freedom.
