Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Tells Why He Switch Off Sheikh Rasheed’s Mic

Islamabad: Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has revealed a reason behind switching off mic of Awami Tehreek’s chief Sheikh Rasheed while talking in an interview of private TV channel. The speaker said that every party is given opportunity to speak in the House based on their position due to which we cannot give a chance Sheikh Rashid to speak before leader of any leading political party.

National Assembly speaker of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Ayaz Sadiq also said during an interview that Sheikh Rasheed wants that his turn to speak always come before any political party. It is worth mentioning here that Sheikh Rashid is used to complain of switching off of his mic. Similarly, when elections of constituency of Speaker Ayaz Sadiq were declared as unconstitutional and Ayaz Sadiq was removed from speakership, Sheikh Rasheed said that speaker got my curse.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq elected as speaker of the National Assembly from NA-122 in Lahore by beating Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in General elections of 2013. But Ayaz Sadiq was dismissed by election tribunal due to the allegations of rigging on NA-122 constituency in August 2013. However PML-N again assigned Ayaz Sadiq as speaker of National Assembly after winning NA-122 re-elections.
