Saudi Arabian government has given certificate of appreciation for the services of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) during its Hajj operation 2011. In the certificate, it has been written that PIA was one of the major international airlines among all who operated for King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Jeddah during hajj operation 2011. The certificate further added that performance of PIA remained the best among major carriers .
I remember that during pre Hajj operation and in Hajj after every few hours news were aired that PIA flights were cancelled or delayed. It looks strange that PIA has been appreciated which is suffering billion of looses.
