Shahid Afridi Fastest ODI 100 Record Not Broken? – Only Rumor

But many websites and Facebook pages are stating that “according to International Cricket council (ICC)’s cricket rules are considered, and then deciding whether Afridi’s record is broken or not, it remains mere undecided.”

Websites are further stating that “One day international match is declared when 25 overs are played during the game. Player Anderson secured century in ‘one-day international match’, when only 21 over delivery took place. So, in accordance to the board’s requirement, Anderson does not meet the criteria to give Boom Boom Afridi a set back to his set record. For playing conditions, satisfying the above criteria is necessary.”

New Zealand’s player, Corey Anderson scored 100 runs on 36 balls against West Indies in third ODI at Queenstown. Hitting 12 sixes and 4 boundaries, he got successful in scoring fastest of the century.

While, the Pakistani all rounder player, Shahid Afridi set the record in year 1996, while playing One-Day International match against Sri Lanka. Sixer Machine hit century of 37 balls.
