Recently suspended host of morning show “Utho Jago Pakistan” of Geo TV for hurting the sentiments of many Pakistanis, Shaista Lodhi is now looking for US or UK asylum. According to the sources it has revealed that Shaista Lodhi has applied or is about to apply for UK or US asylum.
Host of Utho Jago Pakistan Shaista Lodhi has apologized for her mistake and said whole program was a mistake but unluckily, her apology has been met with contempt and suspicion by people while PEMRA has issued a show cause notice to the channel for broadcasting blasphemous program. Mubasher Lucman, host of ARY News blamed Geo’s morning show of airing offensive act, the risks of attacks on the channel have increased due to which TV host Shaista Wahidi to consider fleeing the country in reaction.

Shaista Lodhi has said that she cannot put her family in risk as she is seemingly looking for moving out from Pakistan until the state of affairs calms down as the animosity against Geo has increased very much due to the recent activities of Geo and Jung Group. However, the alarm of fear is troubling many employees of Geo for their lives.
Geo TV’s religious host Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain has said that the program has unintentionally mistaken and looking for forgiveness from Allah as he also requested to stop emphasizing this incident. On the other hand, GEO itself take action and make investigations on this incident.
