Sharjeel Memon Corruption of Rs 5 billion To be investigated: NAB

Sharjeel MemonNational Accountability Bureau (NAB) has said that the investigation against former provincial Minister of Information Sindh, Sharjeel Memon is continued. According to the reports, the officials of NAB have told Sindh High Court that the investigations against PPP leader Sharjeel Memon is continued and the allegation against Sharjeel Memon is that he is involved in Rs. 5 billion corruption. Sharjeel Memon had previously filed 2 petitions in the Sindh High Court, after which Prosecutor of NAB has submit his answer. In both the petitions, Sharjeel Memon had asked SHC for bail before arrest and to exclude his name from Exit Control List.

In his petitions, Sharjeel Memon had said that he has got this news from the media that NAB is investigating corruption charges on him after all the law enforcement agencies and anti-corruption departments have started taking action against politicians. On which, NAB has filed its answer by stating that it has been investigating Rs. 5 billion corruption charges over Sharjeel Memon on the request of his own director. NAB said that Sharjeel Memon had published advertisement worth Rs. 5 billion, from which 3 billion rupees were embezzled.

It is to be noted that Sharjeel Memon was elected MPA from Tharparkar, and he is living in Dubai from the last few months.
