Hasham Riaz Sheikh is a son of former Director General Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) Ahmed Riaz Sheikh, who is very close to President Asif Ali Zardari. It is expected that large number of politicians from PPP and other political will also attend the engagement whereas Sharmila Farooqi family, relatives and friends will also attend the function.
Sharmila Farooqi who served as adviser to the Chief Minister Sindh is daughter of Usman Farooqi who was chairman of Pakistan Steel Mills. Sharmila grnad father was N M Uqail who was Finance Minister of Pakistan and chairman of Pakistan Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation (PICIC). N M Uqail was amongst the first few Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.
