The cast was registered after a complaint from a businessman Faheem Gill, a citizen of Multan. In his complaint Faheem Gill, 31, has alleged that Sherry Rehman has committed blasphemy in 2010 during TV talk show. Faheem said that comments made by Sherry Rehman was speaking on blasphemy laws and had made some statements which were blasphemous.
Faheem Gill said: “I’ve been trying to get this case registered for the last three years, ever since I saw that TV show and I’ve even gone to the highest court. I’m glad that action will finally be taken now.”
