Sindh Government Announces Holiday On 4th April

Zulfikar Ali BhuttoKarachi: Government of Sindh declared a holiday on April 4 in order to honor the 33rd death anniversary of the Pakistan Peoples Party founder leader Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. The Sindh Govt. added public holiday in the year whereas from now on 4th April will be a public holiday.

A statement said that all offices working under the provincial government along with courts and educational institutions will remain closed on Friday. All matriculation examinations scheduled on 4th April have been cancelled; new dates will be announced later.

The spokesman of the Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, Waqar Mehdi confirmed that all the arrangements to honor the 35th death anniversary of ZAB has been settled, whereas he also declared that a Quran Khuwani program has been kept on Friday morning in Ghari Khuda Bux at Jinnah Park (Old jail) on Friday (April 4). The death anniversary of the former prime minister would be perceived with great respect and soberness. Later, Bhutto lungar will also be circulated on the occasion.

To pay honor to Bhutto for his services, seminars and workshops will also be held. Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that lots of people from all over the country will come to pay tribute their Shaheed leader. Public meeting will be held in late night on April 3 and addressed by Chairman of PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and President and Co-Chairman of PPP Asif Ali Zardari.

It has pertinent to mention here that the official holiday had also been announced on the death anniversary of late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in the year 2011, 2012 and 2013.
