Sindh Hari Mazdoor Conference Held In Hyderabad

Hyderabad-mapHyderabad: The Sindh Hari Mazdoor Conference was held in Hyderabad on Sunday in which workers demanded a monthly income of Rs. 25,000 as well as also asked to increase health and education budgets. According to the details, National Trade Union Federation (NTUF), the Home-Based Women Workers Association and the Sindh Agriculture General Workers Union organized this conference jointly in order to raise workers’ issues.

Associations asked government to take effective steps in order to meet with the demands of workers as well as also pressurized to end the third party system of hiring workers. It was also asked during the conference make sure the issuance of appointment letters and to take healthy and safety precautions along with labour inspection system at factories. On the other hand, it was also demanded to government to accept home-based workers as labourers by bringing policies for them. Registration of all workers using societal security, facilities for old-aged employee and other social cover organizations was also emphasized during the conference.

However NTUF’s President Rafiq Baloch headed the conference in which large number of people belonging to agriculture sector were presented. Speaker NTUF’s deputy general secretary Nasir Mansoor claimed that it is the right of every worker to get their all basic rights.
